openfire > kraken > bitlbee > irc in IM?

been thinking it would be nice to be able to sign into irc from my PSI+ IM client and still switch over to X-chat etc at a whim.. it claims to connect even in the openfire debug logs.. but actually joining a channel seems to be my area of failure.. (retry forever)

just making a note in in case someone has done this, and has a good pointer..

I will post when a solution comes to mind.

finally found in the logs some ssl errors.. turns out kraken isnt talking ssl properly…

disabled ssl in bitlbee as test.. and..

was able to post in irc channel..

[15:55:54] hmm finally got in with openfire+kraken +bip + psi.. but had to dissable ssl 🙁

I posted on the kraken forum asking if ssl will be enabled and noted it’s not the first thread to ask about ssl in the irc transport for kraken..
